The Ann Arbor T-shirt Company is a proud design, printing, and embroidery hub located in Ann Arbor, Michigan, about 40 miles west of Detroit. The company was born from a dorm room project between two friends at the University of Michigan.

Our in-house production process, using U.S.-sourced machines, inks, and predominantly U.S.-grown cotton, allows us to maintain high quality standards while keeping prices low. Let's take a closer look at our "Living the Dream" t-shirt. This optimistic design is expertly screen printed with vibrant, durable inks on a soft, smooth men's t-shirt. Our illustrators and designers create the artwork, which our art technicians then convert into component screens. Skilled screen printers and their apprentices then apply the ink through these screens using top-of-the-line M&R carousel presses manufactured in Illinois.
When you purchase one of our shirts, your money is supporting businesses across the country. Approximately 35% goes to our operations in Ann Arbor for design, printing, and production; 22% to Seattle for advertising and platform fees; 6% to an apparel distributor in Cincinnati; 4% to shipping and logistics in Atlanta; 4% to printing press and equipment manufacturers in Roselle, Illinois; 4% to cotton farmers in Texas and the Southwest; 3% to fabric sewers in Toluca, Mexico; and 1% to screen printing ink manufacturers in Pineville, North Carolina.

That's why we hire, train, and retain skilled professionals with a thorough understanding of ink chemistry, curing temperatures, and apparel fibers. We also invest in top-notch inks and state-of-the-art printing equipment to ensure the highest quality products.
